South East Asia’s leading event in the Build Green sector gains steady momentum with 45% new participants at Build Eco Xpo Asia (BEX Asia) 2011 [Press Releases]
Asia’s green building event, Build Eco Xpo (BEX Asia), announces that it will see more than 45% new participants at the 2011 edition, making BEX Asia 2011 an even more important platform for the BUILD GREEN industry.
Staging its 4th edition this year, BEX Asia 2011 is expected to draw some 250 participating companies from over 25 countries, showcasing the latest environmentally-friendly building technologies, products, concepts and solutions. Major players confirmed include Carrier, Daiken, Johnson Controls, Lafarge, Legrand, Lutron, Onna Prima, ParexDavco, Philips, Trane and Toshiba, among many others. BEX Asia 2011 will also presents five country/region pavilions, namely Australia, China, Malaysia, Singapore and Taiwan.
“BEX Asia has emerged as the key event for the Build Green community to convene, network and extend business outreach. BEX Asia has grown from strength-to-strength since its inception in 2008. It has more than doubled its size over the past 4 years – a strong testimony of a growing interest and importance of building an environmentally-friendly and a sustainable environment.
Alongside BEX Asia 2011 is the biennial International Green Building Conference (IGBC) 2011. Themed “Build Green. Act Now” the conference will build on its previous success and focus on hot topics such as tropical architecture green building case studies. In addition, it will examine new topics with emphasis on sustainable construction, buildings of the future as well as sustainable operations and maintenance. As part of the programme, participants can take part in the Green Mark Tours and see outstanding BCA Green Mark projects, providing a practical learning experience. Confirmed speakers include Mr Tony Arnel, Chairman of World Green Building Council, Mr Ho Tong Yen, CEO of Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City, Mr Kelvin Wong, Executive Director of Singapore’s Economic Development Board, and Mr Frank Schultmann, Chair Professor of Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, just to name a few.
