Mercy Relief (MR) has joined hands with tech-social company AGplus Technologies to roll out a series of water innovations.

Using nanosilver technology, the new water solutions were jointly designed, developed and tested together with the Singapore Polytechnic (SP), to support communities affected by disasters and poverty.

Sealing the partnership, a memorandum of cooperation was inked between MR’s Chief Executive Hassan Ahmad and Harold Fock, chief executive officer of AGplus.

Mr Hassan said: “This latest collaboration represents the joint design-thinking and development endeavour between the social, corporate and technical education sectors which seeks to bring about appropriate, simple and sustainable water solutions. The humanitarian arena needs sincere, responsible and committed social entrepreneurs and corporate supporters such as AGplus and Cuffz Holdings to help address the needs of distressed and disadvantaged communities.”
