Clean Energy and Water Tech Companies at Techventure 2013

Techventure 2013

Techventure 2013 was launched this morning at the Suntec Singapore International Convention and Exhibition Centre by Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the National Research Foundation, Mr Teo Chee Hean. The event is a showcase of Singapore’s entrepreneurial and technology innovation ecosystem, and offers opportunities for start-ups to seek investment from venture capitalists and investors.

In his opening address, DPM Teo Chee Hean said that a vibrant technology start-up ecosystem was taking shape and Singapore was seeing encouraging results from its investments. He also announced that the government would inject another $50 million to catalyse the early stage investment ecosystem.

More than 80 companies set up booths at the Techventure exhibition, from a range of industry sectors such as info-communication technology (55%), medical technology (21%), clean energy (8%), manufacturing (9%), health (4%) and clean water (1%).

Here’s the exhibiting companies involved in the clean energy and water tech sector:

HydroVision Asia Pte Ltd uses acoustic flow measurement for monitoring water flow in various applications, such as rivers, channels, hydro power, water supply, wastewater and industry.

Maxsolar Pte Ltd develops an inverter that is fully integrated with a solar module without the junction box, thus maximising energy yield from each module and allowing greater flexibility and faster install time.

Envichem Technologies Pte Ltd provides industrial waste recycling and treatment solutions for heavy industries, such as the recovery of metal in electroplating plants using partition membranes in electrochemical cells.

De.mem Pte Ltd designs, builds and operates decentralized water treatment plants for the South East Asian markets.

Wisewater Pte Ltd uses the polarized electrodialysis technology for water purification and sample concentration, and offers lower cost for seawater desalination.

Water Optics Technology Pte Ltd provides real-time water quality monitoring solutions, which are low cost and have easy maintenance.

Fosera Lighting Pte Ltd provides solar powered LED street lamps, which are highly reliable and robust.
