Mall operators heed call to conserve water [News]

With the prolonged dry weather here, more shopping malls have followed the call to conserve water and will be turning off their water features, among other measures.

Singapore is in the middle of another dry spell that began on Feb 17,with last month being the driest month since 1869.

Jurong GRC Member of Parliament David Ong has filed a question for today’s Parliament sitting, asking about the impact of the dry spell on the supply and availability of water, whether Singapore’s water reserves will be able to cope and at which point the situation would be considered a crisis.
